PHI University Clinic of Neurology is the oldest institution in the Republic of Macedonia that deals with neurological diseases. It was founded in 1947 and is part of the Medical Faculty in Skopje. The Neurology Clinic is the only institution in tertiary health that offers both medical care and education for students and trainees in neurology.
The teaching of neuropsychiatry began in the distant 1953-54. The Department at the Clinic of Neurology continuously since its establishment performs educational activity for students of the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje in the field of neurology. As part of the neuroscience specialization for clinicians in and outside the clinic, lectures by neuroscience professors on some basic and subspecialist neurology chapters are semester-long.
